About us
Licere is the study association of the Master's programme Tourism, Society & Environment (MTO) of Wageningen University & Research. The association is established in 2005 and has gained notoriety ever since. The association has a small group of students each year, meaning having a group highly motivated students that are particularly interested in the field of tourism and sustainability.

The association is all about providing members with educational opportunities, and encouraging social interaction between the members. The main event of the year is the Tourism Career Day, focused on connecting our members with businesses and organisations that offer internships and thesis opportunities in the field of tourism. Besides that, there are plenty of social activities (e.g., holiday celebrations, parties, potluck dinners, high teas, and spontaneous get-togethers), and educational activities (e.g., company visits, field excursions, network events, conferences). It is not only the board taking initiative for all these activities, since the programme has a small group of students each year that often initiates certain activities.
The board
The board of Licere is in charge of the continuation of the study association. There are distinct roles distributed among the board members but team work is a key concept. At the beginning of every academic year, a new board is instated. Below you find the current board members and their roles.
